Please join us for the ISD Online Open House at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 12!

We will share more about our new virtual high school, which opens in the fall of 2026, including details about how our full-time school will offer flexibility, meaningful support from teachers and mentors, and a welcoming community that encourages students to learn, grow and find balance in their academic journey!

Those who attend will also have the chance to hear about our learning center; what our personalized, high-quality instruction will be like; how students can participate in extracurricular activities; and more. Students will have the chance to help us vote on a mascot for our new school, which will serve grades 9-12.

WAVE Leaders Rally Spirit for PTSA Fundraiser Launch

Our incredible 8th grade WAVE leaders, along with Mr. Berg, brought the energy on Friday — pumping up students and staff during two assemblies to launch the Pine Lake PTSA Fall Fundraiser!

Be on the lookout for information coming home with your student — you won’t want to miss it! This year, we’re once again partnering with Charleston Wrap (because who doesn’t love fun gift wrap and clever gadgets?) and offering a “no shopping required” option for those who prefer to donate directly.

Principal Michelle Caponigro

Meet Principal Michelle Caponigro

Hello, Wolverine families! If you would like to know the best thing about being a principal, I’ll tell you – it's the kids! A few fun facts about me: My current favorite young adult book is “The Hate You Give.” If I could only eat one food for the rest of my life, it would be roasted sweet potatoes. My bucket list includes the goal of living abroad for five years. I was once featured in the “Guinness Book of World Records” for being in the largest group of clarinet players ever assembled!
