Help shape the identity of Issaquah School District’s New High School by sharing ideas for its name, mascot and school colors by October 14. Community members can also attend the High School Information and Community Collaboration Event on October 21 to meet the New High School core team, learn about career-connected programs and provide feedback.

Issaquah School District families and caregivers will receive districtwide and school-specific surveys beginning October 1 to share feedback about what is working well and where improvements can be made. Surveys are available in multiple languages, responses are kept private and the surveys close October 31.

Families of students in grades 1-8 will receive Fall Score Reports by email in October, with reports for grades 1-5 sent the week of October 5 and reports for grades 6-8 sent the week of October 19. Families can also view historical assessment scores in Skyward Family Access and find directions for accessing scores on the district website.

Families of students in grades 6-8 are invited to preview the F.L.A.S.H. (Family Life and Sexual Health) and HIV/AIDS curriculum during information sessions on October 8 and October 10 at the District Administration Building. Staff will be available to answer questions, and additional opportunities to review the materials will be available during normal business hours for families who cannot attend.

Issaquah School District Family Partnership and PTSA ParentWiser will host two Family Community Conversation sessions on October 5 and 6 focused on Jennifer Wallace’s Never Enough. The discussion will explore “mattering” and how families, schools and communities can help children feel valued and connected beyond grades and achievements.
