General Announcement

Last month there were several discussions related to grading practices at the secondary level and we appreciate all the input provided. As a next step, the Issaquah School District and Issaquah Education Association are meeting next week to continue to collaborate on secondary grading practices.

Athletics

Registration for ALL 2024-25 sports will open May 15, 2024 in FinalForms. Payments for fall sports will be accepted online from Aug. 1-25, 2024. To be cleared for the first day of practices/tryouts you must submit payment and complete all online registration steps through FinalForms by the enclosed dates.

General Announcement

Families who are interested will be able to use an app called “Securly Home” to manage their student’s school laptop while at home. The guardian listed as “Guardian 1” in “Family 1” inside Skyward Family Access will receive an invitation email this week. Details enclosed.

 

Educational Technology

Canvas usernames for middle and high school students have been updated to their full district email address. This will match the way teachers log in to Canvas, creating a more consistent practice for our school community.

To prepare for the 2024-25 school year, Family Access (Skyward) will be unavailable July 2-10 as our staff move students into their new grade levels. When Family Access reopens on July 11, it will be with limited access to report cards and test scores.

The Issaquah School District is asking voters to consider a $642.3 million bond measure on the November General Election ballot. If approved, the funding would be used to upgrade safety and security districtwide, for projects that will increase efficiency and modernize our schools and facilities districtwide, to complete the fourth high school and to expand our career preparation programs districtwide. We are seeking volunteers to serve on the "pro" and "con" committees. Details enclosed.
