If the forecast is correct, we may have some warmer weather coming our way. Please stay safe while enjoying the weather, and remember that although the air is warm, the water is still cold and running quickly! Wear life vests during water activities, keep an eye on children and anyone who isn't a strong swimmers, and remember that it is never safe to leave a person or pet locked in a car, even for a matter of minutes. On May 15 the Instructional Materials Committee recommended 12th grade civics curriculum materials to the ISD School Board for approval at the May 29 board meeting. The materials are on display for public review May 19-23 at the district office. Details enclosed.
We are hosting a clothing drive in preparation for our second Back-to-School Resource Fair, which will be offered in August in partnership with our amazing community organizations. We are asking for new or gently used clothing for students. Volunteers are also needed for the clothing drive. Details enclosed.
Due to scheduling and capacity constraints, the Issaquah Food & Clothing Bank is temporarily adjusting its market (in-store food selection) hours from May 19 to June 19. Details are enclosed.
