Colorful Chemistry: Students Test Chemical Indicators

Students record observations

Students from Mr. Burgard's and Ms. De Borja's Physical Science classes recently did an exciting experiment to see if chemical indicators can show if a chemical reaction happened.

Guided by their teachers, the students used common substances like calcium chloride, phenol red with sodium bicarbonate, and water with blue food coloring. The experiments helped the students understand how chemical indicators work and how to spot chemical reactions, allowing them to discover more about the world of chemistry.
